It is a matter of great pride and satisfaction to extend my warm greetings to all associated with the College of Agricultural Biotechnology, an institution that stands as a beacon of innovation and excellence in agricultural education and research.
The dream of Dr. Panjabrao Bhausaheb Deshmukh for agriculture was to achieve national self-sufficiency in food production, bring prosperity to every farmer, and transform the agricultural sector through a combination of education, modern technology, and farmer empowerment. We tried to fulfill his dream by instituting Shri Shivaji College of Agricultural Biotechnology, in 2004-05.
Agriculture remains the backbone of our nation’s economy, and biotechnology has emerged as a transformative force to enhance productivity, sustainability, and food security. Our society established this college with a vision to blend modern science with traditional agricultural wisdom—creating a new generation of professionals who can lead India toward a more resilient and sustainable agricultural future.
We are deeply committed to providing the best possible infrastructure, research facilities, and academic environment for our students. The college’s dedicated faculty and research-oriented programs ensure that every learner not only gains knowledge but also develops the confidence and creativity needed to address the real-world challenges.
