The Universities have adopted course credit system under the semester pattern. In this system each academic year is divided into two terms not shorter than 20 weeks, called a ‘semester’. Subjects to be taught are divided into self contained units called courses. If the performance of a student in a particular course is not upto the mark, he may repeat the course whenever, it is offered as per the course layout.
